Beginning the history
HARIROD Group of Companies began its journey in 1993, during a time of significant challenge and transition in Afghanistan. Founded in Kabul with a vision to contribute to the country’s reconstruction and development, the company started as a small construction and engineering firm. With a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation, HARIROD quickly earned a reputation for delivering reliable infrastructure solutions. These early years laid the foundation for what would become a multi-sector enterprise, driven by the mission to support national growth through impactful, high-standard projects.

Establishing our Footprint
The early 2000s brought significant political shifts. This period opened the door to reconstruction and development opportunities across the country. HARIROD responded by expanding its services and capabilities, successfully taking on government and donor-funded projects. As the political environment stabilized and international support increased, our reputation grew, allowing us to build partnerships, broaden our client base, and contribute meaningfully to national infrastructure development.

2010-2020
Accelerating Growth
Amid ongoing political transition, the withdrawal of some international forces, and fluctuating economic conditions, HARIROD remained focused on sustainable growth and strategic diversification. During this time, we expanded into transportation, commercial investment, and solar energy, aligning with Afghanistan’s shifting development priorities. We also strengthened our maintenance services portfolio, including critical long-term projects like Kabul International Airport. Despite a complex political landscape and moments of uncertainty, we continued to deliver, innovate, and grow, becoming a trusted national leader in multi-sector project execution.

Leading the Vision
The period from 2020 onwards has been a time of great political and economic change in Afghanistan, with the country undergoing a significant political transition in 2021. Despite the challenges, HARIROD Group of Companies remained steadfast in its commitment to national stability and development. One of our key initiatives was continuing the Kabul International Airport Maintenance Services for nearly a year with our own budget, ensuring uninterrupted operations during a critical time. Additionally, we successfully commenced the high-budget, two-year project of Construction of the Arghandi Transport Terminal, a significant infrastructure development that highlights our ability to deliver complex projects under challenging conditions. Our resilience and dedication during this time underscore our continued leadership and vision for the future of Afghanistan’s infrastructure.
