Project Info
Project Overview:
HARIROD Group of Companies is excited to announce our newly signed project agreement with FMIC (French Medical Institute for Children) for the installation of a 1MW On-Grid Solar Power System. This landmark project aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions and contributing to Afghanistan’s energy independence. As a reliable partner in renewable energy, HARIROD will take on the full design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the system, ensuring that the FMIC hospital, a vital healthcare facility, benefits from a consistent and environmentally-friendly power source.
Project Scope and Objectives:
This project involves the installation of a 1MW solar power system, designed to integrate seamlessly with the national grid, providing clean and cost-effective electricity to FMIC’s operations. The main objectives of this initiative are:
-
Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: The installation of solar panels will significantly reduce the hospital’s reliance on traditional electricity sources, helping them lower their carbon footprint while ensuring an uninterrupted power supply.
-
Cost Reduction: The solar power system will lower the operational costs for FMIC by providing an alternative and cheaper source of energy, which is especially critical for a healthcare facility operating around the clock.
-
Reliability: With Afghanistan’s power grid often being unstable, this on-grid system will act as a vital backup, ensuring a steady and reliable energy supply for the hospital’s critical operations.
Project Components:
-
Solar Panel Installation: High-efficiency solar panels will be strategically installed across the hospital’s rooftop and other available areas to maximize energy generation.
-
Inverters & Transformers: State-of-the-art inverters and transformers will be used to convert the solar power into usable electricity and integrate it with the national grid, ensuring optimal energy flow and stability.
-
Monitoring and Control System: An advanced monitoring system will be installed to track the system’s performance, ensuring maximum efficiency and enabling real-time troubleshooting and maintenance.
-
Connection to National Grid: The system will be fully connected to the national grid, enabling FMIC to contribute any excess power back to the grid, in line with Afghanistan’s renewable energy regulations.
Project Impact:
-
Improved Access to Healthcare: By providing reliable and sustainable power, the project will enhance the operational efficiency of FMIC, which is one of Afghanistan’s leading healthcare providers, ensuring continuous and high-quality medical services to children in need.
-
Support to National Sustainability Goals: This project is part of HARIROD’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development, helping to reduce Afghanistan’s dependence on fossil fuels and contributing to a cleaner, greener energy future for the country.
-
Long-Term Energy Security: The on-grid solar system will provide FMIC with a long-term solution for energy security, reducing the risks associated with power outages and increasing operational reliability.
Timeline and Milestones: The project is expected to be completed in phases over the next X months, with the following milestones:
-
Phase 1: Site assessment, final design, and procurement (Date – Date)
-
Phase 2: Installation of solar panels and system components (Date – Date)
-
